I’m a 28-year-old mom. I’m also a pastor in the United Methodist Church. I’m a wife. I’m a painter — I love oils. I’m an amateur knitter and a novice photographer. I love horses, peonies, and Sour Patch Kids. I’m learning how to sew, to crochet, and to proverbially juggle. It’s a lot of different hats, really, but it’s me.
I married my husband, Craig, in May of 2010. In November of 2011, Cooper was born. He’s amazing! He’s a lot like his daddy — oh-so-busy and a bit demanding. I have an office but do a lot of my office work from home where Craig and I juggle the responsibilities of parenting, loving, writing, ministering, schooling, and all those hats I already mentioned. It’s a bit hectic and a bit crazy. Not a week goes by that I don’t get this question: “How do you do it?” I’ve found that the best answer is the truth: “Not always well.”
Even at the end of a busy day one thing is always true. I love my God, I love my family, and I love the church.
